Lisa Eder announces ski jumping comeback with Manuel Fettner

Ski jumper Lisa Eder has announced her comeback to professional competition following a brief retirement announced in April. A key component of her return is a new arrangement with the Austrian Ski Federation (ÖSV) regarding her partner, former ski jumper Manuel Fettner.

After previous disagreements where the ÖSV rejected Fettner’s inclusion in the coaching team due to budgetary and compliance reasons, both parties have reached a solution. Fettner will act as a consultant and coach for Eder, though he will not be an official member of the ÖSV or receive funding from the federation.

Eder, who turned 25 recently, has already resumed training and aims to rejoin the Austrian national team by the end of August. She noted the challenges of returning to the sport, including adjusting to new regulations regarding jumping suits.
