Lisa of BLACKPINK announces solo documentary ‘Always Lalisa’

Lisa, a member of the K-pop group BLACKPINK, is set to release her first solo documentary titled ‘Always Lalisa’. Directed by Sue Kim, the film follows a pivotal year in the artist's life as she transitioned from group activities to focus on individual projects.

The documentary covers several major milestones, including her work on the album ‘Alter Ego’, her solo performance at Coachella, and her acting debut in the HBO series ‘The White Lotus’. It also highlights her participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony and her role on the 2026 Met Gala host committee.

Through a trailer released on September 9, the film explores the pressures of her intensive solo schedule and her relationship with her BLACKPINK bandmates, whom she describes as her ‘soul mates’. ‘Always Lalisa’ is scheduled for a limited international theatrical and IMAX release starting October 12, 2026, with a world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Following the theatrical run, it will be available on YouTube Premium.
