BLACKPINK member Lisa is set to release her solo documentary, ‘Always Lalisa’, which is scheduled for a world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 11. In the documentary, Lisa discusses the cultural restrictions regarding dating in K-pop, noting that idols often hide relationships to avoid negatively impacting their group’s popularity. She reveals that her song ‘Dream’, from her solo album ‘Alter Ego’, was inspired by a secret past relationship. She noted that she sought the individual's permission to release the track, provided their identity remained anonymous.
Beyond her documentary, Lisa has shared ambitions such as performing at the Super Bowl halftime show and discussed the current focus of BLACKPINK members on their individual careers. The documentary will be available in cinemas and IMAX starting October 12, followed by an exclusive release on YouTube Premium later in the year.
