Lisa Roberts-Allen sentenced for North Carolina real estate fraud

Lisa Roberts-Allen has been sentenced to a minimum of 75 months and a maximum of 102 months in prison for her involvement in a North Carolina real estate fraud scheme. A jury convicted her on six counts of forging a deed and two counts of obtaining property by false pretenses involving more than $100,000.

Roberts-Allen operated a nonprofit called Home Advocates and Limitless Outreach (HALO), which she claimed would assist elderly and financially vulnerable homeowners. Instead, she conspired with two attorneys to steal and sell homes. She was also ordered to pay $55,000 in restitution.

This case follows the sentencing of attorney Robert P. Tucker II, who received between 48 and 70 months in prison earlier this year. Another attorney, Ilesanmi Adaramola, is currently awaiting trial on related charges.
