Lisa Vittozzi wins women's sprint at Italian Summer Biathlon Championships

Olympic champion Lisa Vittozzi secured the women's sprint title at the Italian Summer Biathlon Championships held at the Grogg biathlon center in Val Martello. Despite committing one shooting error during the prone stage, Vittozzi finished with a time of 20:19.4, leading her compatriot Rebecca Passler by 15.1 seconds. Hannah Auchentaller completed the podium in third place.

In the men's competition, 21-year-old Davide Compagnoni achieved a notable victory in the 10-kilometer sprint. Compagnoni, who has not previously competed in the World Cup, finished with a time of 23:17.4, finishing 21.1 seconds ahead of more experienced competitors.
