Lisa Walsh wins €10,000 Best Dressed Lady title at Galway Races

Lisa Walsh, a 37‑year‑old accountant from Dunboyne, County Meath, was crowned the Ella & Jo Best Dressed Lady at the Galway Races Ladies Day. She impressed the judging panel – led by head judge Mandy Maher and joined by 2FM presenter Laura Fox and Ella & Jo co‑founder Charlene Flanagan – in a custom dress by Only One Ashley and a hat by Fiona Rafter, and received a €10,000 cash prize.

The competition has recently shifted to cash‑only awards after customer feedback, replacing earlier gifts such as vouchers and jewellery. In the same event, Maksuda Akhter won the Best Hat competition, taking home €3,000 for her headpiece by Rafter. The day also featured a race win for Putapoundinthejar, trained by Tony Martin.
