Lisandro Isei departs Valencia CF scouting department

Lisandro Isei, former head of the scouting department at Valencia CF, has officially departed the club following an agreement regarding his severance. In a public statement, Isei defended his management and expressed pride in the work accomplished under the leadership of football CEO Ron Gourlay.

Isei specifically highlighted the recruitment of Ryunosuke Sato, Aliou Dieng, and Justin de Haas as key successes. He also credited his tenure with maintaining pathways for academy players, noting that many youth prospects are now regular contributors to the first team.

Addressing the club's performance, Isei acknowledged that results were not as desired, stating, “in football, results determine decisions.” He concluded by expressing that while good work is not always reflected in the short term, he leaves having learned significantly about the sport and himself.
