Lisbon area violence sparks safety concerns

Recent incidents of violence in the Greater Lisbon area have raised concerns regarding public safety and urban management. In one instance, sixteen people were struck by a vehicle in the Oura area, a location where long-standing issues regarding traffic and space management have been noted.

Additionally, a violent night in Greater Lisbon resulted in four people being stabbed and four others being shot. Critics suggest that previous measures, such as closing bars earlier, have failed to address the underlying issues of security, circulation, and organized space management, merely shifting the timing of the problems.
