Lisbon City Council announces 21.5 million euro investment plan
The Lisbon City Council has announced plans to invest a total of 21.5 million euros into urban maintenance and digital modernization. This includes 6.5 million euros dedicated to the conservation of pedestrian pavements and urban furniture, split between pavement works (3.2 million euros) and furniture maintenance (3.3 million euros).
Additionally, the municipality intends to invest 15 million euros over the next three years into technological upgrades through four international public tenders. This initiative aims to enhance the security and resilience of municipal systems, modernize internal management, and improve service integration. To combat cyberattacks, a separate proposal was approved to invest nearly 2 million euros by 2029 to strengthen the protection of information systems and citizens' personal data.
