Lisbon City Council regains ownership of Mega Craque Complex

The Lisbon City Council has regained full ownership of the former Mega Craque Complex in Telheiras following the conclusion of a legal dispute. The sports facilities, which housed the Mega Craque Clube gym for over 35 years, have been vacant since April 2022 due to a decade-long rent litigation process between the facility's management and the property owner.

The municipality is currently evaluating how to revitalize and reopen the space. Officials stated they are analyzing the situation to identify suitable solutions for functional reuse while addressing various constraints associated with the site.

To combat the degradation and abandonment of the premises, municipal services have been working to block access to the Alto da Faias Multipurpose Complex. Measures include sealing openings and locking doors to mitigate risks of vandalism and unauthorized entry.
