Lisbon hosts cultural festivals and international Dragon Boat competition

Lisbon is hosting multiple cultural and sporting events. The Festa na Praça Continente is taking place at Praça do Comércio on 12 September 2026. This free-admission festival features culinary pop-ups, a wine market, and a children's zone. Musical performances include sets by Kiko is Hot, the band Napa, and the Viva o Samba collective, concluding with a performance by fado singer Mariza.

Additionally, the city is hosting an international Dragon Boat festival. The event is expected to draw over 700 participants from various parts of the world, promoting sports tourism and providing an economic boost to local hotels and restaurants through its combination of aquatic competition and community activities.
