Lisbon hosts XXIII European Gastronomy Congress
Lisbon and Mafra are hosting the XXIII European Congress of Enogastronomic Brotherhoods from November 27 to 29. The event brings together hundreds of representatives from Portugal, France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Belgium, Hungary, and Macau to discuss the relationship between food, culture, and tourism.
Key discussion topics include food sustainability, the preservation of agricultural biodiversity, and the promotion of high-quality gastronomic tourism. The congress serves as a platform for sharing experiences among brotherhoods dedicated to preserving European culinary and viticultural heritage. Parallel to the main sessions, an agri-food product exhibition will showcase and allow for the tasting of traditional regional flavors from across Europe.
