Lisbon menopause program sees high demand with over 100 applicants

The Entre Fases program in Lisbon, designed for women in perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause, has seen significant demand, receiving over 100 applications for only 12 available spots. Due to this high interest, a second group is scheduled to begin on September 24.

Coordinated by psychologist and researcher Roberta Frontini from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, the program offers a multidisciplinary approach. Unlike traditional medical consultations, it integrates eight specialties: Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Psychology, Psychiatry, Physiotherapy, Dermatology, Nutrition, and Sexology.

The twelve weekly in-person sessions aim to address both physical symptoms, such as sleep disturbances and joint pain, and broader aspects of well-being, including mental health, self-esteem, nutrition, and sexual health. The goal is to provide women with practical daily strategies and a better understanding of their physiological changes.
