Lisbon Metro's Praça de Espanha platform to reopen Thursday
The Praça de Espanha station platform of the Lisbon Metro, which has been closed since the 10th of this month, is scheduled to reopen this Thursday for trains heading toward Santa Apolónia. Additionally, new elevators in the north atrium are now operational.
Rehabilitation works at the station are expected to continue until the end of October to improve conservation and accessibility. Following the reopening of the Santa Apolónia platform, work will shift to the platform heading toward Reboleira, which will be closed from September 3 to September 28. During that period, trains destined for Reboleira will not stop at Praça de Espanha.
Further interventions are planned for the south atrium pavement between September 14 and October 12, during which the area will remain closed and the ticket office will temporarily move to the north atrium. Metro de Lisboa recommends that passengers use the Jardim Zoológico or São Sebastião stations as alternatives when possible.
