Lisbon named Europe's Best Cruise Destination for the third time

Lisbon has been named the ‘Best Cruise Destination’ in Europe at the World Cruise Awards held in Jamaica. This marks the third time the Portuguese capital has received this distinction, following previous wins in 2021 and 2024.

To secure the award, Lisbon outperformed several other major nominees, including Athens, Barcelona, Dubrovnik, Monte Carlo, Nice, Rome, Oslo, and Southampton. The Lisbon Port Authority (APL) stated that the award recognizes the commitment of professionals within the cruise ecosystem and the hospitality of the local population, noting that the city continues to establish itself as a competitive, innovative, and sustainable destination.

In addition to this title, the Lisbon Cruise Terminal has been nominated for the Best Cruise Terminal in Europe for the sixth consecutive year.
