Mercado da Damaia to receive 2 million euro dance academy and renovation

The Damaia Municipal Market will undergo a major renovation project involving a municipal investment exceeding two million euros. The intervention includes the construction of a new dance academy from the ground up and the requalification of the existing market building.

According to the Amadora City Council, the project aims to enhance cultural and artistic education offerings within the municipality while revitalizing existing infrastructure. The works also include pedestrian access improvements, wall resurfacing, and the reorganization of sanitary and administrative facilities to improve functionality.

The contract was awarded to Optibuilding, Lda. for a total of 2,001,192.74 euros (plus VAT), with an expected execution period of 364 days.
