Lisbon man arrested for fatal stabbing of roommate

A 29-year-old man has been arrested in Lisbon's Misericórdia parish following the fatal stabbing of a 45-year-old woman. The incident occurred during an argument at a shared residence where both individuals rented separate rooms.

According to the Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the PSP, the victim and suspect were roommates who had a history of disagreements, though no prior physical aggression had been recorded. Police found the woman deceased at the scene and the suspect was detained immediately. The investigation is being handled by the Polícia Judiciária, and the suspect has been placed in preventive detention by judicial authorities.
