Listyo Sigit Prabowo named honorary member of KSBSI

Indonesian National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has been appointed as an honorary member of the Confederation of All Indonesian Trade Unions (KSBSI). The appointment was decided during the KSBSI 2026 National Working Meeting in Jakarta.

KSBSI President Elly Rosita Silaban stated the honor recognizes the police force's cooperation with labor groups, specifically through the Polri Labor Desk. KSBSI expressed hope that this labor desk will be strengthened and expanded from the central level to all provinces and regions to facilitate better industrial relations through humanistic approaches and social dialogue.

During the same event, General Prabowo urged Indonesian workers to enhance their global competitiveness by increasing their competencies. He noted that while technological advancements like artificial intelligence, robotics, and the Internet of Things pose risks to certain jobs, they also create new opportunities. He emphasized that workers remain the heart of industrial development and encouraged adaptation to support government downstreaming programs and new investment sectors.
