Literary and manga releases arrive for September season

As the summer season concludes, various literary and manga releases are being highlighted for the September period in France.

The Charlemagne bookstore in Toulon has curated an eclectic selection of books. Notable titles include ‘L’adolescence du perroquet’, which explores the bond between a man and a protected African Grey parrot, and Philippe Jaenada’s ‘L’inconnue du quai de Javel’, a mystery set in 1940s Paris. Other featured works include humorous novels such as a story set in the Médoc region and Madeline Cash’s ‘Les brebis égarées’, which depicts an unconventional American family.

In the manga sector, several new releases are scheduled for September. Kaze will release ‘Backstage Banri’ on September 16, a shōjo romantic comedy. Additionally, Glénat is releasing a large-format reissue of ‘Baptism’ by the late horror master Kazuo Umezu on September 23, featuring extra color pages.
