Literary celebrations held at Unesp and Monchique Reading Club

In Brazil, Unesp has published a new book titled ‘Universidade: um encontro marcado’ to celebrate the institution's fiftieth anniversary. The collection features short stories from the fourth edition of the ‘Afeto Leitura’ contest, which received approximately 350 submissions. The project, organized by the Unesp Cultural Action Coordination, aims to transform academic experiences and perceptions into literature. The event included a discussion with writer Jeferson Tenório and awarded winners, including professor Sinésio Ferraz Bueno.

In Portugal, the Monchique Reading Club celebrated its eighth anniversary with a session dedicated to the book ‘Farol’ by Clara Andrade. The meeting featured the author and focused on the narrative of a journey between Mértola and Cabo de São Vicente. The club has selected ‘Jesus Cristo bebia cerveja’ by Afonso Cruz for its next session.
