Literary clubs in Dominican Republic and Panama mark anniversaries
Literary communities in the Dominican Republic and Panama are celebrating significant milestones. In Santo Domingo Norte, the Mujeres Que Emprenden SDN reading club marked its second anniversary at the La Cueva del Edén ecotourism project. The club, which currently has 45 members, was established to support the personal and professional growth of women entrepreneurs through collective reading and intellectual development.
In Panama, the reading club 'Los Cazalecturas' celebrated eight years of activity. Founded in 2018 by writer Kathia Arjona, the group has grown from six friends to nearly 100 members. Over its history, the community has read 96 books and hosted conversations with more than 200 local and international authors. The club maintains an alliance with the Panamanian Book Chamber (Capali) and participates in literacy promotion through various literary events.
