Literary contests launched for students in Chile and Argentina

Educational and cultural institutions in Chile and Argentina are launching literary competitions for students.

In San Antonio, Chile, the sixth edition of the “Desde Mi Ventana” literary contest has begun. Sponsored by Puerto Panul and organized by the Municipality of San Antonio, the competition invites students across the province to write micro-stories inspired by “Los Oficios del Mar” (Maritime Trades). The initiative aims to connect younger generations with the historical maritime identity and coastal labor of the region.

In Argentina, the Antonio Di Benedetto School is preparing its 35th Intercollegiate Short Story Writing Contest. This year’s theme, “Malvinas, un faro para nuestro pueblo” (Malvinas, a lighthouse for our people), focuses on the Falkland Islands to encourage students to use literature as a tool for historical memory and reflection. The event is scheduled for October 1.
