Literary events scheduled in Spain for October 7

Several literary events are scheduled for Wednesday, October 7, in Spain. At La Librería del Cabildo, the book club will host a session moderated by Antonio López Ortega focused on ‘Crónica de la nada hecha pedazos’. This 1972 novel by Juan Cruz marked the beginning of the author's career and is a significant work within the ‘Nueva narrativa canaria’ movement, exploring themes of memory, youth, and freedom.

In Zaragoza, the social center La Pantera Rossa will host the presentation of ‘En silencio, un cuerpo en guerra’, the debut poetry collection by Sheila Calonge. The work explores themes of corporeality, working-class roots, identity, and the impact of aesthetic standards on self-image. The event will feature a discussion with journalist Mary Carmen Bozal and scholar María Coduras regarding literature and social norms surrounding the human body.
