Literary festivals feature authors in Italy

Various literary events are taking place across Italy, featuring prominent authors and discussions on storytelling.

In Villadeati, as part of the VillaDEArTi cultural festival, writer Gianfranco Miroglio will present his novel ‘Verso Marte’ at the former church of San Remigio on October 4. The work is described as a dystopian coming-of-age novel set in a world undergoing transformation following an apocalypse, using Mars as a symbol of a possible different future.

Meanwhile, the XXI Festa del Racconto is being held across Carpi, Campogalliano, and Soliera on October 3. The festival features Spanish author Clara Sánchez, a member of the Real Academia Española, who will discuss her latest novel regarding the relationship between lies and truth. Other scheduled dialogues include a discussion by writers Dario Ferrari and Christian Raimo concerning the theme of paternal legacy.
