Literary festivals in Chile and Argentina showcase regional authors

A free literary festival organized by Grupo Planeta will take place on 8 August at the Municipal Library in Concepción, Chile. The program includes presentations and book signings by Chilean writers such as Alberto Fuguet, Francisco Ortega, Kamila González, Joaquín Barañao and Félix Vega, with a sales stand offering new titles from the publisher.

At the same time, the 10th International Literature Festival of Tucumán (FILT) in Argentina, running 31 July–1 August at the university museum, will feature representatives from the province of Jujuy. Writer Meliza Ortiz and the local publishing house Almadegoma Ediciones will participate in panels, readings and a book‑fair, highlighting Ortiz’s recent poetry collection and fostering dialogue among authors from the Argentine northwest and other Spanish‑speaking countries.
