Literary presentations held in Tomelloso and Dolores
In Tomelloso, the Casa de las Artes y las Letras (CALMA) hosted the presentation of ‘Viernes’, the debut noir novel by José Manuel Zuleta. The work, which blends thriller elements with police investigation, originated from a story Zuleta began writing during a transatlantic flight years ago. Zuleta, a former division general in the Spanish Army who served in the Royal Household, discussed his unconventional creative process and themes of loyalty and human responsibility during the event.
In Dolores, author Mª Victoria Gómez González presented her new book, ‘La alborada de la palabra. Relatos cortos y poéticos’. The collection of short, poetic stories continues the author's multidisciplinary approach, which integrates literature with her work as a painter. The event, held at the Salón Parroquial, highlighted her previous poetry collections and her history of artistic exhibitions.
