Literary readings scheduled in Bucharest and Krefeld

Several literary events are scheduled in Bucharest and Krefeld. In Bucharest, author Ioana Cristina Casapu will present her book, ‘Berliner Tagebuch. Die Geschichte meiner inneren Mauer’, at the Goethe-Institut on September 11. The reading will feature both the German translation and the original Romanian text. The work consists of 24 essays documenting the author's experiences in Berlin over a ten-year period.

In Krefeld, author Karosh Taha will hold a reading at the Niederrheinisches Literaturhaus. Her novel, ‘Gulistan’, has been longlisted for the 2026 German Book Prize. The story follows a Kurdish woman searching for her husband under Saddam Hussein's dictatorship in Iraq. The event will feature a musical collaboration with singer-songwriter Trace Polly as part of the ‘Westwerk’ series.
