Literary season features new releases and book discussions

The autumn literary season has commenced, featuring a variety of new releases across different genres.

In ‘Grenouille’, published by Seuil, Sergueï Shikalov explores the life of a Russian film star who flees to Paris following the outbreak of war in Ukraine. The narrative examines her struggle with anonymity, displacement, and the search for dignity in a new environment.

Melissa Arnot Reid’s ‘La Zone de la Vie’, published by Guérin, recounts her physical and emotional journey to reach the world’s highest summit without supplemental oxygen. The book serves as a memoir regarding her struggle for existence in a male-dominated field.

Additionally, recent literary discussions at the Mediathèque d'Uzerche highlighted several summer favorites, including the domestic thriller ‘Une bonne épouse’ by Ingrid Desjours, ‘Je suis Romane Monnier’ by Delphine De Vigan, and the mystery novel ‘Le pendu’ by Louise Penny.
