Literature Course Opens in Brazil; Trofa Council Expands Cultural Programs in Portugal

A new literature course led by Célio Turino will run from 16 July to 6 August, with Thursday sessions at the SESC 14 Bis centre in Brazil. Enrollment begins on 25 June and the programme focuses on the interplay of history, poetry and everyday cultural expression.

In Portugal, Sérgio Araújo, president of the Trofa municipal council, outlined a series of cultural initiatives, including the 25th edition of ExpoTrofa with a new Expo Kids area, the relocation of the BeLive festival to Parque da Samogueira, and the launch of a quarterly cultural agenda, all presented as essential public services and a fundamental right.

Both announcements emphasize expanding public access to cultural activities and preserving local heritage.
