Lithium Chile and Li-FT Power report corporate and drilling updates
Lithium Chile Inc. has entered into an amending and extension agreement with China Union Holdings Ltd. regarding the proposed sale of the Arizaro Project in Argentina. The agreement extends the term for 60 days, with a possible additional 60-day extension pending the termination of a review by Investment Canada’s Foreign Investment Review and Economic Security division and receipt of Offshore Direct Investment approval from the Chinese government. The amendment removes previous exclusivity restrictions, allowing the company to evaluate other opportunities.
To address a working capital deficit of approximately CAD $1.7 million, Lithium Chile has secured a CAD $2.5 million credit facility from a company controlled by one of its directors.
Separately, Li-FT Power Ltd. has announced initial assay results from its 2026 summer drilling program at the Adina-Galinée Lithium Project in Quebec, Canada. The company reported intercepts from the first five of 45 planned drill holes, including a highlight of 56 meters of 1.43% Li2O in drill hole ALP0002. The results support the company’s interpretation of a large, continuous spodumene-bearing pegmatite system.
