Lithuania to implement new wage transparency reporting in 2027

The State Labour Inspectorate (VDI) has announced new data reporting procedures for the Social Insurance Fund (Sodra), effective January 1, 2027. These changes aim to implement the Pay Transparency Directive and amendments to the Labour Code to ensure equal pay for equal work and reduce the gender pay gap.

Employers will submit data through the Electronic Insurers' Service System (EDAS) using a specific Transparent Wage Notification form. The reporting is divided into two categories: information to be submitted once (such as job group numbers, average weekly working hours, and working time regimes) and information to be declared monthly.

According to VDI Chancellor Šarūnas Orlavičius, these measures are essential to understand how wages are calculated and to evaluate pay disparities across different roles and working hours.
