Lithuania to launch national startup accelerator for tech unicorns
The Lithuanian Ministry of Economy and Innovation is establishing a national startup platform designed to serve as an incubator for future ‘unicorns’. This initiative aims to connect talent, businesses, investors, mentors, and international partners to foster more world-class technology companies within Lithuania.
As the country's first national accelerator of this scale, the platform will leverage the expertise of successful Lithuanian startup founders and unicorn creators to mentor a new generation of tech entrepreneurs. The project seeks to attract increased investment and solidify Vilnius as a regional startup hub.
The initiative will support the entire lifecycle of entrepreneurship, from early-stage ideas through hackathons and mentorship programs to providing access to laboratories and international expert networks. A public sector entity will be selected via tender to implement the project alongside a consortium of experienced organizations and business representatives.
