Lithuanian Airports develops contingency plan amid airBaltic uncertainty

Lithuanian Airports (LTOU) has developed a risk management plan to address potential disruptions should airBaltic withdraw from the Lithuanian market. G. Norvilaitė-Tautevičė, acting as the general director of LTOU, stated that the plan is a long-term strategy to restore passenger flow and transport volumes if a major partner departs.

Currently, LTOU is operating according to the existing winter and summer flight schedules published by airBaltic, as no new information regarding the airline's future plans in Lithuania has been received. LTOU officials expressed positive views regarding airBaltic's recent efforts to secure financing and revise its business plan, which has led to changes in flight maps.

AirBaltic recently reported a revenue increase of 4.2 percent, reaching 779.344 million euros, while reducing its annual losses. The airline has also suspended its planned initial public offering (IPO) due to market conditions and 2025 financial projections. Lufthansa is currently a shareholder in the airBaltic group.
