Lithuanian airports set new passenger traffic record in July

Lithuanian Airports (LTOU) reported that July set a new all-time record for passenger traffic, with the network of Vilnius, Kaunas, and Palanga airports serving nearly 756,000 passengers. This represents a 10 percent increase compared to July of the previous year.

Vilnius Airport saw the highest growth at 11.6 percent, handling over 550,000 passengers. Kaunas Airport served approximately 161,000 passengers, a 4.3 percent increase, while Palanga Airport handled 45,000 passengers, up 7.3 percent from the same period last year.

In total, the LTOU network operated 8.3 percent more flights in July than in the same month last year, totaling nearly 5,700 flights. Acting head of Lithuanian Airports, Gintarė Norvilaitė-Tautevičė, stated that the consecutive monthly records indicate a consistent growth trend rather than a temporary surge.
