Lithuanian authorities conclude investigations into two separate violent incidents

The Panevėžys District Prosecutor's Office has concluded a pre-trial investigation regarding a February incident in Rokiškis. A 51-year-old man, who did not possess a driver's license, led police on a pursuit, striking several official vehicles and running over a female police officer's leg. The suspect also possessed a prohibited cold weapon. The total property damage to the Panevėžys County Police Chief Directorate is estimated at 11,568 euros. The man faces charges including resisting a public official and causing non-serious health damage to an officer.

In a separate incident in Klaipėda, a suspect born in 2010 has been placed in custody following an assault on a bus driver. A group of youths reportedly used a fire extinguisher to attack the driver on a route traveling toward Melnragė-Mogiliovo g. The conflict escalated from inside the bus to the street, where the driver was beaten. An investigation into the breach of public order is currently underway.
