Lithuanian basketball reserve team to face University of Arizona

A series of basketball matchups between Lithuanian national teams and NCAA programs is set to begin in Lithuania. The series opens in Jonava with the Lithuanian reserve men's team facing the University of Arizona Wildcats.

The Arizona roster features Lithuanian talents Motiejus Krivas and Ugnius Jaruševičius, alongside other notable players such as Brice James. Lithuanian reserve team coach Mindaugas Lukošius stated that the primary goal of the team is to support the main national squad and gain valuable experience by testing players against high-level opponents.

Following the matchup in Jonava, the Arizona team will travel to Kėdainiai to face a Ukrainian national team led by Ainaras Bagatskis. Players like Matas Repšys have expressed that representing the national team, even in a reserve capacity, is a significant honor and a responsibility to perform well under public scrutiny.
