Lithuanian canoeists compete at World Championships in Poznan

Lithuanian canoeists achieved notable results at the Canoe Sprint World Championships held in Poznan, Poland. Artūras Seja narrowly missed a medal in the men's single canoe 200m event, finishing fourth, just 0.02 seconds behind the bronze medalist. Seja noted that while his performance was strong, competing against nations with larger support teams for biomechanics and psychology remains a significant challenge.

In the men's double canoe 500m event, Henrikas Žustautas and Vadimas Korobovas secured seventh place, finishing 0.92 seconds away from the podium. Additionally, young athletes Dovydas and Danielius Gaurys, alongside Luku Kybartas and Adu Stefanovič, made their debut in high-level adult competitions. The group successfully navigated the qualifying rounds and finished fifth in their semifinal, providing them with essential international competitive experience.
