Lithuanian energy experts advise on effective household savings
A survey conducted by the Lithuanian Energy Agency (LEA) reveals that 92 percent of residents attempt to save energy, though many focus on ineffective methods. Agnė Stonienė, head of the Energy Consumption Efficiency Competence Center, notes that many consumers prioritize minor actions, such as unplugging phone chargers, while neglecting significant heat loss in living areas like the living room and bedroom.
Experts suggest that instead of expensive long-term investments like solar panels, which only one-third of respondents can afford, residents should perform home audits. Focusing on reducing heat loss in high-usage rooms by managing windows and radiators can lead to hundreds of euros in annual savings without sacrificing comfort.
