Lithuanian fuel and used car market trends

Data from the Autogidas.lt portal indicates that used car prices in Lithuania typically rise during the spring due to increased buyer competition. In the spring of 2025, average listed prices were approximately 9 percent higher than the preceding winter, while 2026 saw a 2 percent increase. Sales activity also saw significant growth, with the number of cars sold in spring 2026 being approximately 40 percent higher than during the December to February period.

Regarding energy markets, economists warn of potential volatility in fuel prices. While Lithuanian fuel prices recently saw minor decreases, geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and ongoing conflict in Ukraine impact global supply. Specifically, Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries may reduce the likelihood of Russian diesel entering the global market. Current average prices in Lithuania stand at 2.25 euros per liter for diesel and 1.88 euros per liter for gasoline.
