Lithuanian Handball League: Garliava and Eglė lead standings

The first round of the Lithuanian Handball League has concluded with Garliava, Eglė, and Kova sharing the top position, each having secured three wins and one loss.

Garliava secured a decisive 39:29 victory against the defending champions, Panevėžys Kova, despite not having played any home matches this season due to ongoing renovations at the Garliava Sports Center. In other notable matchups, Vilnius Eglė defeated Klaipėda Dragūnas 36:31, while Vilnius Šviesa earned a 32:29 win over Kaunas Granitas-Karys.

League leaders Dragūnas also maintained their momentum with a 39:34 victory over Pasvalys. Individual standout performances include Dominyka Andronik of Eglė, who scored 47 goals during the first round, and Inna Holiardyk of Žalgiris, who recorded 34 goals.
