Proper shading, together with keeping indoor temperatures at 24‑26 °C, can significantly reduce air‑conditioner electricity consumption.

Additional measures include regular maintenance of AC filters, using programmable thermostats or smart controls, sealing windows and doors, employing fans to complement cooling, and, where possible, exploiting on‑site solar generation to offset energy use.
