Lithuanian municipalities provide school kits for first graders

Municipalities in Lithuania are providing school supply kits to first-grade students to assist families with back-to-school expenses.

In the Šilutė district, 335 children entering first grade this year will receive a municipal kit containing writing, drawing, and craft supplies, as well as notebooks and folders. This universal aid is available to all first graders in the municipality regardless of family income. The kits are scheduled to be distributed at schools on September 1.

In the Klaipėda district, the municipality is providing kits valued at 60 euros each. This initiative, now in its fifth year, includes over 20 different stationery and creative items, such as ergonomic pens, ink cartridges, and specialized notebooks. The supplies are provided in a sports bag featuring the municipality's logo. Additionally, both first graders and pre-schoolers will receive a coloring book about the Klaipėda region.
