Lithuanian religious events: Krekenava festivities and Marijampolė choir schedule

Various religious events and festivals are scheduled or have recently concluded in Lithuania. In Krekenava, the Great Herbs Fete concluded with a Family Day at the Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The final services were led by Kaunas Archbishop Kęstutis Kėvalas, featuring music by the Kaunas Christ Resurrection Basilica choir. The event also served as a platform to introduce the ‘For Life’ march scheduled for September in Vilnius and featured a photography exhibition by Laima Sakalauskienė.

Looking ahead to 2026, the ‘Godos’ refugee choir is scheduled to perform during Holy Mass at the Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel in Marijampolė on August 23. This liturgical performance is part of the official church calendar for the Marijampolė municipality.
