Lithuanian sporting events include Šilutė Run and BMX Championship

Lithuania hosts two upcoming sporting events: the Šilutė Run 2026 and the Lithuanian BMX Championship.

The Šilutė Run 2026 featured night running competitions across various distances, including 10 km, 5 km, and 1 km. The 10 km men's race was won by Aurimas Girskis with a time of 37:55, while Benita Bikulčė won the women's 10 km category in 45:44. The event included a warm-up led by ultramarathoner Ruslanas Seitkalijevas and offered specific categories for families and children.

In Vilnius, the Lithuanian BMX Championship is scheduled for September 6 at the Fabijoniškės BMX Park. The event, organized by the Lithuanian BMX Bicycle Association, will determine the new national champion. The competition will take place at what is described as the most modern concrete BMX park in the country.
