Lithuanian Startup Pdkinematics Supplies Drone Guidance Systems to Ukraine

Rapolas Markevicius, a former private‑equity manager in Lithuania, founded the startup Pdkinematics to develop precision guidance systems for drones that remain accurate even when GPS signals are jammed. The company now supplies these systems to Ukraine and other European NATO allies, aiming to improve strike accuracy and bolster defence capabilities on NATO’s eastern flank.

The venture is part of a growing Baltic tech scene that seeks to fill gaps left by traditional arms contractors. With Lithuania allocating over 5 % of its GDP to defence, startups like Pdkinematics are viewed as scalable, cost‑efficient solutions that enhance regional resilience against Russian and Belarusian hybrid threats.
