Lithuanian State Tax Inspectorate announces system updates and new calculator
The Lithuanian State Tax Inspectorate (VMI) has announced upcoming maintenance for its information systems, which will impact both individuals and businesses. From November 16, certain service limitations will begin, including restrictions on requests for declaration obligations via 'Mano VMI'. Between November 26 and November 29, access to the main electronic portals, including 'Mano VMI', EDS, the Excise Information System, and others, will be completely unavailable.
During these periods, users will face limitations regarding business licenses, registration of individual activities, and updates to company data or representation. The VMI advises accountants, business managers, and citizens to plan their tax-related tasks in advance, particularly for those needing to acquire business licenses or change company details.
Additionally, the VMI has introduced a new online calculator designed to help residents estimate their annual personal income tax (GPM) for 2026. This tool is intended to assist individuals with multiple income sources in understanding how different tax rates and deductions affect their final tax liability, providing a visual report of the applied rates.
