Lithuania's Litgrid posts €39 million H1 profit as revenue climbs 28%

Lithuanian electricity transmission operator Litgrid reported a net profit of €39 million for the first half of the year, reversing a €41.9 million loss a year earlier. Revenue rose 28 % to €267.5 million, driven by a 21 % increase in transmission fees and a doubling of imbalance‑balancing income to €97.2 million. Adjusted net profit reached €20.2 million, up 40 % from the previous year, while adjusted EBITDA grew to €29.9 million. The company invested €61 million in grid expansion, including work on the second‑land‑mass electricity link with Poland, the "Harmony Link" project, and the connection of a new commercial battery storage system.

Gas transmission operator Amber Grid also posted a stronger first‑half, earning €16.3 million adjusted profit and seeing revenue jump 41 % to €49.4 million. Both operators are part of the state‑controlled energy group Epso‑G, which holds 97.5 % of Litgrid’s shares.
