Lito Sousa battles prostate cancer and central nervous system inflammation

Brazilian influencer Lito Sousa, 59, creator of the Aviões e Músicas channel with over 2.5 million followers, is undergoing treatment for early‑stage prostate cancer diagnosed three months ago and for a newly identified inflammation of the central nervous system. He has been hospitalized at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in São Paulo since July 20, where doctors have started therapy and reported improvement in his neurological symptoms. The cancer treatment plan will be finalized after the neurological condition stabilizes.

Sousa shared on social media that he aims to keep producing videos even while in the hospital, noting his goal to "be well on Thursday to record a video." He expects to remain admitted at least until July 26 and mentioned a pending lung biopsy to investigate a suspicious lesion. Before becoming an online personality, he worked for more than three decades as an aircraft mechanic for airlines such as Varig and United Airlines.
