A large-scale tribute concert honoring the renowned Greek musician Giorgos Zambetas took place on August 13, 2026, at the Litochoro Open Air Theatre. Titled ‘I rtha ki apotse…’ (I came tonight too...), the event drew a full crowd of residents and tourists.

The performance featured eight singers and eleven musicians, all of whom are natives of Litochoro. The ensemble performed Zambetas’ most famous works, celebrating his legacy as a master of the bouzouki. During the opening remarks, the Mayor of Diou-Olympou, Vangelis Geroliolis, highlighted the voluntary participation and dedication of the local artists, noting that this marks the third consecutive year the municipality has hosted such tribute concerts.

In addition to the live music, archival footage from ERT showcasing Zambetas’ life and career was projected on a large screen during the event.
