Little Ferry holds ceremony for 25th anniversary of September 11 attacks

A commemoration ceremony was held in Little Ferry, New Jersey, to mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. The event included civil and religious authorities, students, local citizens, and an Italian delegation, including Bishop Domenico Basile and the Mayor of Molfetta, Manuel Flavio Minervini.

The ceremony honored the 2,977 victims of the attacks on the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and the flight that crashed in Shanksville, as well as the first responders and volunteers who worked at Ground Zero. Participants reflected on the courage and solidarity shown during the tragedy and emphasized the importance of passing these lessons of unity and human dignity to younger generations.

Speeches focused on transforming collective grief into a commitment to peace and global cooperation. Mayor Mauro Raguseo spoke before a monument containing a fragment of steel from the World Trade Center, highlighting the need to choose kindness and respect over hatred and indifference.
